Summer Sounds at Skansie

Outdoor summer concerts in Skansie Park are one of the most beloved warm-weather events in downtown Gig Harbor. Situated on the waterfront, near the mouth of the harbor, the park is accessible via boat, kayak or paddleboard, or concert goers can bring a blanket and snag a seat on the lawn.

Whether you choose to arrive by land or by sea, this Tuesday night series is a celebration of local talent set up against one of Washington’s most picturesque backgrounds, welcoming one and all with live entertainment from local musicians and well-known bands. The evening concerts are provided free of charge.

Each Tuesday night throughout the summer, concerts go from 6 to 8pm. Concert-goers can visit nearby downtown eateries like the Tides Tavern for elevated pub fare, El Pueblito for authentic Mexican fare, or stop for a wood-fired pizza from Millville Pizza Company. Within walking distance, visitors can sample local brews from 7 Seas Brewery, or stop in for a tasting at Heritage Distilling Company.

To host a viewing party, the adjacent Club @ the Boatyard offers a private rental space just above the concert. For an overnight stay, the two-bedroom, two-bathroom Guesthouse @ the Boatyard offers outdoor seating and private decks overlooking the concert and the harbor. Within walking distance are The Maritime Inn, The Waterfront Inn, and a number of outstanding Airbnb, VRBO or Vacasa options if an overnight stay or long weekend is in the cards.
